We see the CMC Review as a crucial opportunity to make the Colleges safer and more effective in their vocation of producing future leaders for the Canadian Armed Forces and for Canada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key points to note from the poster include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Canadian Military Colleges Review Board<\/strong> will focus on the quality of education, socialization, and military training at military colleges. The CMCs Review Board will report to the Deputy Minister and the Chief of the Defence Staff and will consist of five members hired from outside National Defence and the Public Service, and two members from the Defence Team. These roles are compensated, full-time and 12 months in duration.<\/li>\n<li>The 5 external appointments will focus primarily on seasoned executives with a depth of governance experience and a specific area of expertise:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chairperson<\/strong> (bilingual), Masters (ideally PhD) degree in a field related to education, Recognized expert in adult education, minimum five years\u2019 experience within the past 10 years in leading teams at the institutional level<\/li>\n<li><strong>External academic<\/strong> (bilingual), Masters (ideally PhD) degree in a field related to education, Five years\u2019 experience within the past ten years as a practitioner in the field of adult education<\/li>\n<li><strong>External executive<\/strong> (unilingual), Executive level position in another sector (private, public, not-for-profit, or foreign military), Five years\u2019 experience within the past 10 years as an executive in their field of expertise<\/li>\n<li><strong>External Cultural Evolution and Organizational Change<\/strong> (unilingual), Bachelor\u2019s degree (ideally Masters) in related field, five years\u2019 experience within the last ten years as a practitioner or educator in the field of Cultural Evolution<\/li>\n<li><strong>External expert in young adult development and socialization<\/strong> (unilingual), Bachelor\u2019s degree (ideally Masters) in a related field, Five years\u2019 experience as a practitioner or educator in the field of young adult socialization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We must also highlight that:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The perceived and real impartiality of the Board is of central importance in order to ensure the credibility of its report and, in turn, the cultural evolution and the future of the CMCs within, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Nous voyons ce processus de s\u00e9lection comme une \u00e9tape essentielle \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration de cet examen.<\/p>\n<p>En tant qu\u2019organisation d\u00e9termin\u00e9e \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019avancement des CMC, l\u2019Association des ancien(ne)s des CMR reconna\u00eet que des facteurs syst\u00e9miques et culturels ont contribu\u00e9 aux probl\u00e8mes d\u00e9crits dans le rapport Arbour et les rapports ant\u00e9rieurs. Nous consid\u00e9rons l\u2019examen des CMC comme l\u2019occasion id\u00e9ale de rendre les coll\u00e8ges plus s\u00e9curitaires et plus efficaces dans leur vocation de former les futurs dirigeants des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes et du Canada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principaux points \u00e0 retenir de l\u2019affiche\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Le comit\u00e9 d\u2019examen des CMC<\/strong> misera sur la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9ducation, la socialisation et la formation militaire dans les coll\u00e8ges militaires. Relevant du sous-ministre et du chef d\u2019\u00e9tat-major de la d\u00e9fense, il sera compos\u00e9 de cinq\u00a0personnes embauch\u00e9es en dehors de la D\u00e9fense nationale et de la fonction publique, et de deux\u00a0membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de d\u00e9fense.
